THE EMPLOYER IS: LEDCOM LTD (LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMPANY) The Business Administration & Marketing Support role provides essential administrative, operational, and marketing support to the Business Development Manager, Finance Officer, and wider team. The post supports client activity, internal operations, and promotional work, contributing to the smooth running of the organisation and the delivery of business support services.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to provide administrative support for client-related activities.
- Attend and shadow the Business Development Manager during client mentoring sessions, supporting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up actions.
- Assist with the preparation of client proposals, quotes, and supporting documentation.
- Provide general office administration, including scheduling, document management, and coordination of daily tasks.
- Support conferencing and meeting facilities, including room setup, catering arrangements, and coordination of group sessions.
- Manage ordering of office supplies and liaise with suppliers as required.
- Work with the Finance Officer to support operational and administrative tasks.
- Support the organisation’s transition to a paperless office by organising digital files and assisting with improved systems and processes.
- Assist with the creation and scheduling of marketing and social media content.
- Maintain and update marketing materials, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Carry out basic research to support marketing and business development initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Confidence in working in a client-facing environment.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in an administrative, business support, or marketing support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic digital tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Experience supporting meetings, events, or group sessions.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential, depending on location and travel requirements).
