Dynamic range of duties. Supporting administrative duties to 2-3 GPs in a very busy Practice.
Responsibilities
- Answering telephones, dealing with patients, processing prescriptions, dealing with pharmacy collections
- Copying notes and records, arranging appointments for GP and MDT staff
- Processing incoming hospital letters.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- RSA Stage II or higher in Word/Text Processing
- Experience of office work within last 2 years
- Experience of working with the public
- Effective communicator
- Evidence of ability to develop individual learning
- Evidence of flexibility
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in an Health Service environment
- Knowledge of MS Word/Emis
- Experience of using ICT equipment
- Demonstrate ability to build effective working relationships
- Demonstrate ability to work as a member of a team
