Silver Cloud Care NI is currently recruiting Community Care Assistants for our clients in Newtownabbey. We are looking for individuals to provide care and support to vulnerable adults in their own home.

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical and emotional wellbeing
• Support independence with dignity and respect.
• Assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Meal preparation
• Provide much needed company and and engaging conversation
• Light household duties
• Social Outings, go for a cuppa and a walk around the shops

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a good listener
• A non judgemental approach to care
• Patience (you may have to listen to the same story numerous times)
• Good conversation skills
• Driver with access to/own car

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant (not essential as full training will be provided)

Further Information

We offer, immediate interviews, competitive rate of pay, flexible working hours, minimum call time 1 hour. You will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI enhanced check. Be registered with NISCC (or willing to register). Complete all mandatory training. We offer flexible working hours and a great rate of pay.
