Paediatric Physiotherapist Specialist
Job description
The Band 6 Physiotherapist will work as a member of the Trust-wide Paediatric Physiotherapy Team, providing a service to children and young people in a wide variety of settings. This will include schools, community, clinics, hospitals and in the child’s home as required. The post holder will provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment and treatment. He/she will take responsibility for their own caseload, with supervision as required. The Physiotherapy service in the Northern Trust is committed to ongoing review and modernisation of services to enable us to provide high quality care for patients/service users. As part of this it may be required that posts become rotational within appropriately linked specialities and/or localities as the need arises.
Responsibilities
- To hold responsibility for own caseload ensuring delivery of an efficient, effective service in line with available evidence, national guidelines and professional standards.
- To undertake appropriate comprehensive assessment of patients including those with multipathology.
- To formulate individualised management and treatment plans.
- Use a wide range of treatment skills and options to provide a specialised programme of care.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- BSc/MCSP in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration on HCPC register.
- 2 years post-registration clinical experience.
