Assistant Cricket Groundsperson
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: BONDS GLEN CRICKET CLUB The Assistant Cricket Groundsperson will carry out preparation and maintenance of the cricket pitches and surrounding facilities of Bonds Glen Cricket Club. They will work with the Head Groundsperson and Grounds Committee of Bonds Clen Cricket Club to ensure the pitch and facilities are presented to the highest possible standard for training and matches throughout the season.
Responsibilities
- Undertake routine preparation and maintenance of the cricket pitches, outfield and surrounding areas at Bonds Glen Cricket Club.
- Plan pitch preparation, maintenance and renovation of used pitches to maintain high standards for playing and training of all users of the Bonds Glen Cricket Club.
- Work closely with the committee and volunteers of Bonds Glen Cricket Club to ensure commitments for playing and training schedules are met.
- Operate vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to relevant health and safety requirements.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to a safe and operatable standard, and reporting any issues to the Bonds Glen Cricket Club Management Committee.
- Ensure the grounds and work areas of the Bonds Glen Cricket Club are tidy, safe and secure at all times.
- Work alongside volunteers to put in place a plan for ongoing works such as pitch preparation, maintenance and renovations during and after the season.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be able to work safely and take responsibility for the health and safety of other team members.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working ground maintenance equipment (not essential).

The Employer is: BONDS GLEN CRICKET CLUB JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
