Job description
The role: Are you a student of a healthcare-related field, or someone seeking additional experience in care? Our role as a Care Attendant in Belfast is perfect for you. This post gives you the chance to assist in providing care to clients referred to us by social services and following care plan requirements. This includes personal care, administering medication, and meal preparation. You will gain formal training for social care including good record keeping, safeguarding, befriending, and medication. This role is to assist unpaid carers and the person they care for, such that their stress can be relieved. If you are just starting to work in care or seeking flexibility, this role is for you. About you: We would require you to hold the right to work and to live in the UK, to have use of a car with valid licence and insurance, to reside in or near to Belfast, and willing to take a Access NI check and register with NISCC (we can help with this registration). Who are we? Crossroads Care NI is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers with respite, and the person they care for with an excellent service. Crossroads has operated since 1979 and runs several care projects. This advertised role is part of our flagship Domiciliary Care Scheme. Our culture emphasises person-centred care and providing quality services which support mental and emotional wellbeing - not just technical or transactional service. We strive to foster real and long-term relationships with the clients in the communities we operate in and do not focus on improving a bottom-line only. If our missions excites you, and our role appeals to your sense of personal and professional development in care, you can apply here, or enquire at info@crossroadscare.co.uk.he Role:
