THE EMPLOYER IS: NUGEN HEALTHCARE We are seeking a motivated and organised entry-level Marketing & HR Support Specialist to join our team. This unique hybrid role provides hands-on experience in both marketing and human resources, supporting our brand presence in the community while also helping ensure a positive and well-organised employee experience. This position is ideal for someone starting their career who enjoys working with people, has a creative eye, and thrives in a role with a mix of administrative and communication-focused responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging social media posts to increase brand awareness and promote our healthcare services.
  • Assist with developing content for newsletters, website updates, and other marketing materials.
  • Help maintain brochures, flyers, presentations, and other promotional resources.
  • Support community events, and local partnerships.
  • Track basic marketing metrics such as social media engagement.
  • Ensure all external communications are professional, accurate, and aligned with our healthcare mission.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and sitting in on staff interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork and guiding employees through parts of the induction process.
  • Take staff photos for ID badges, create badges, and assist with arranging uniforms.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date personnel files and training records.
  • Help gather and organise payroll-related data for processing.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide assistance with basic HR-related questions and administrative tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and common office software (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office) - Important to have experience with Excel.

Desirable Skills

  • Internship, coursework, or volunteer experience in marketing, communications, administration or HR.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms in a professional or organisational setting.
  • Interest in healthcare, community services, or mission-driven work.
