Fundraising Officer

The Fundraising Officer will play a vital part in increasing public awareness and raising income to support Evora Hospice. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder must be prepared to work evenings and weekends with time off in lieu for the extra hours worked.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with individuals, groups, and organisations across the Dungannon and Armagh area to build strong local relationships.
- Identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Develop sustainable income streams.
- Work with the wider Income Generation Team on flagship campaigns and events.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A degree (or equivalent) plus 1 year’s relevant experience in a fundraising, event management, PR or sales environment with a preference for B2B or B2C sales rather than retail OR
- 2 years relevant experience in a fundraising, event management, PR or sales environment, with a preference for B2B or B2C sales rather than retail.
- Excellent communicator - confident and skilled in all aspects of communication (including social media), to a range of audiences of varying sizes.
- Good IT skills - particularly Microsoft Office, Photoshop or other design software.
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
