Job description

This job involves the operation of tractor unit and trailer. The operation will include a variety of modes including tipping trailers, container trailers, low loaders and curtain siders. The most regular work will be shunting scrap in tipping trailers from scrap yards throughout Northern Ireland. Vehicles will always return to Belfast base at end of shift. Responsibilities

• Using a tractor unit to pull tipping trailers.
• Collection of scrap.
• Using a tractor unit to pull container trailers.
• Using a tractor unit to pull tautliners.
• Using a tractor unit to pull Low Loaders and flat trailers.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold the relevant licence.
• Ensuring safety is the first priority with each journey.
• Awareness of how to operate safely and effectively in large industrial environments.
• Good communication skills.
• Customer focused.
• Flexible to meet business priorities.
• Availability to work overtime.
