Junior Unity Programmer (Internal R&D Support)


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: BOOM CLAP PLAY This role is aimed at someone with existing Unity and programming experience who is looking to develop their skills in a professional creative technology environment. The role supports internal research and development work, contributing to interactive prototypes and experiments under the guidance of senior technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to Unity-based prototypes and interactive experiments.
  • Implementing and modifying scripts within existing project structures.
  • Testing, debugging, and iterating on interactive systems.
  • Assisting with technical documentation and organisation of project files.
  • Working within established development workflows and tools.
  • Managing Unity scenes, assets, and project components.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Practical experience using Unity (education or personal projects).
  • Basic programming ability, such as C# scripting.
  • Understanding of scenes, prefabs, and components.
  • Ability to follow technical guidance and solve problems.
  • Interest in interactive or creative technology.

Desirable Skills

  • A relevant qualification or portfolio of Unity work.
  • Familiarity with version control or collaborative workflows.
