Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: BREEZE CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS LTD This role is for a candidate who has some previous onsite experience and can support trades with more advanced tasks. It offers an opportunity to develop skills working under qualified tradespeople.

Responsibilities

  • Assist tradespeople such as joiners, plasterers, and bricklayers with semi-skilled work.
  • Carry out basic tasks such as measuring, cutting materials, mixing compounds, or preparing work areas.
  • Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Support installation of fixtures, fittings, and small construction elements.
  • Help complete snagging tasks and minor repairs.
  • Assist with site preparation, groundworks, and materials handling.
  • Adhere to all site safety requirements and report hazards.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Intermediate Tool Skills - Using hand and power tools safely (e.g., drills, saws, grinders) and supporting trades with more advanced tasks.
  • Measuring and Cutting Materials - Learning how to accurately measure, mark, and cut materials such as timber, plasterboard, or insulation.
  • Assisting other trades on site - Supporting joiners, bricklayers, plasterers or groundworkers with semi-skilled activities and learning practical techniques.
  • Basic Installation Work - Gaining experience installing fixtures, fittings, studwork, insulation, or site components under supervision. Overall knowledge of fundamentals of construction with a willingness and desire to listen and learn.
  • Quality Control and Snagging - Understanding how to check work quality, identify defects, and assist with completing snagging tasks. Asbestos awareness and ability to identify.

Desirable Skills

  • Valid driving licence.
  • Previous site experience.
