THE EMPLOYER IS: MJM MARINE Our General Administrators will play a key role in supporting their provided team and manager with a wide range of administrative tasks. They help organise information, manage communications, coordinate schedules, and ensure processes and records are accurate and up to date, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the workplace. MJM Marine is a progressive, flexible and rapidly growing specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients and due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for a General Administrator to join our Newry Office. Successful applicants can participate in education, training as is necessary, to enable them to carry out their role and to support the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • General administrative duties such as filing, copying, and scanning.
  • Professionally answering phone calls and dealing with enquiries.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to managers and teams.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and post.
  • Prepare, format, and distribute documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems.
  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and book meeting rooms.
  • Take meeting minutes and track actions to completion.
  • Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and document management.
  • Support departments and assist with projects as required.
  • Work collaboratively to support team objectives.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
  • Occasional receptionist duties.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in an administration or customer facing role.
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Employer is: MJM MARINE JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
