Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: LAGAN ENGINEERING LTD The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal and engineered components for painting and coating, ensuring surfaces meet quality, safety, and specification standards prior to finishing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineered components and fabricated parts for painting and coating.
  • Clean, degrease, sand, blast, or abrade surfaces to required specifications.
  • Mask areas not to be painted according to drawings and instructions.
  • Apply primers or pre-treatment coatings where required.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects and carry out remedial preparation work.
  • Handle and store materials, chemicals, and tools safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Follow engineering drawings, job cards, and process instructions.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Support painters and finishers to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
