THE EMPLOYER IS: LAGAN ENGINEERING LTD The role involves preparing metal components and structures through abrasive blasting to meet required surface finish and coating specifications, ensuring high quality and safety standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Carry out shotblasting / grit blasting of steel and engineered components.
• Inspect workpieces for cleanliness, surface profile, and defects.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment.
• Mask and protect areas not to be blasted.
• Handle and recycle blasting media safely and efficiently.
• Follow engineering drawings, job cards, and technical specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work closely with paint and coating teams to meet production schedules.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and COSHH regulations.

• Willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills

• Basic knowledge of coating systems and why profiles matter.
• Awareness of corrosion types.
