Canteen Operative
Job description
To assist the canteen team leader with daily functions of the canteen.
Responsibilities
- To support the Canteen team Leader with food prep and maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment and canteen facilities.
- Ensure a high level of food hygiene is achieved and maintained within the canteen facilities.
- To have the ability to work together as a team with other members of the canteen team to develop, enhance and facilitate the food offerings in the canteen.
- To be able to take on additional responsibilities to fill in for the Canteen Team Leader when necessary.
- To maintain a clean and sanitised working environment and keep canteen facilities clean after each break.
- Replenish of Stock
- Stock control & Placing orders when required
- Placing orders when required
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Food preparation, cooking, reheating and serving
- Control of cash and payment records
- Document recording ie cleaning records, temperature records
- Cleaning of canteen, kitchen, keeping areas sanitised, tidy and removal of rubbish
- Health & Safety & Attention to detail
- Time Management
- Menu planning
