NHSCT Specialist Community Public Health Nurse for Ethnic Minorities Band 7
Job description
The post holder will work as a member of the Public Health Nursing Team as a SCPHN (HV) with a focus on an Ethnic Minority health service and communicable disease health screening programmes and immunisations for adults and children eg BBV, Tuberculosis (TB) and BCG. To include: Provide comprehensive & holistic health assessments for asylum seekers in initial & dispersal accommodation, home, clinic and other accommodation & community settings and work with language barriers to ensure access to services. Work autonomously to lead and deliver pathways in response to changing population health, health and social care models of delivery and strategic changes.

- Undertake day to day operational management of the Ethnic Minority health service to include asylum seekers and refugee health providing clinical leadership and co-ordination

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 3 years post registration experience at Band 6 or above managing a defined Health Visiting caseload.

Desirable Skills
- Be prepared to undertake specialist qualification (e.g. relevant modules of the Masters in Public Health) relating to health protection (subject to resources and availability)
