THE EMPLOYER IS: DALZELLS OF MARKETHILL Dalzells of Makethill is seeking a proactive Market Assistant to support our marketing team. Full training will be provided in content creation across CMS platforms including Magento, Drupal, and WordPress, as well as the use of AI agents for content and strategy development. The role offers experience in social media, negotiating and booking print and online publications, and outdoor advertising, along with keyword research and link-building strategies in a dynamic marketing environment. This role offers the opportunity to receive training from leading manufacturers and technology partners, ensuring you develop expert product knowledge and industry skills. You will also have access to the Praxis42 and RETRA/BIRA platforms to achieve certified qualifications. As part of the team, you will be provided with a staff uniform and enjoy a staff discount on products, making it a rewarding role both professionally and personally.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage content across CMS platforms including Magento, Drupal, and WordPress.
- Utilize AI agents to support content creation and marketing strategy development.
- Gain experience in social media management and content scheduling.
- Assist in negotiation and booking of print and online publications.
- Conduct keyword research to optimize digital content.
- Assist with link-building strategies to improve online visibility.
- Develop and implement your own creative ideas to support the business’s marketing activities across all channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns and projects.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong creativity and imagination to generate ideas that support marketing activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and willingness to learn digital marketing tools.
- Confidence in assisting with negotiations and collaborating with external partners.
- Analytical thinking for interpreting data and supporting keyword research and link-building strategies.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of merchandising and retail operations.
- An interest in marketing trends and digital innovation.
- Experience with CMS platforms such as Magento, Drupal, or WordPress.
- Graphic design or multimedia skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, video editing).
- Experience managing social media accounts and content calendars.
- Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and marketing strategy.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and link-building techniques.
- Understanding of print and online publication processes.
- Confidence in negotiating and liaising with external partners.
- Teamwork and a proactive, can-do attitude.
