Job description

The post holder regarding all NIHE property tenures will provide an audit, inspection and measurement service for governance and management of Electrical Safety, including the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme and contracts, as well as completion of remedial works, to ensure the NIHE is fully compliant with its statutory and regulatory duties to its customers, employees, and third parties. Ensuring the Housing Executive’s Policies, and Procedures for Electrical Safety are monitored and implemented.

Responsibilities

• Undertake inspections in all NIHE property tenures, concerned with the quality of service for Electrical Installation Works, including for the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme.
• To inspect, audit and analyse compliance information received from other Departments, Regional Teams, Contractors and Consultants in line with contract requirements and organisational polices and processes.
• To work in collaboration with the Regional Teams and contribute to the monitoring and operational delivery of electrical compliance to ensure there is a consistent approach.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Possess a degree or equivalent level 6 qualification relevant to electrical installations Plus 1 years relevant experience working in an Electrical related function.
• Level 3 Electrotechnical apprenticeship, or equivalent, incorporating end point assessment of competence, AM2 (City & Guilds 2356 Level 3 NVQ or equivalent Qualification).
