Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: HUNTER APPAREL SOLUTIONS As an Embroiderer you will be trained on the embroidery and heatseal machines so they can assist in the customisation of garments with company logos. This will include loading and unloading the embroidery machines, as well as checking the quality of garments to ensure the logo is accurate and positioned correctly. On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of basic production and embroidery equipment - learning to assist with embroidery machines and garment finishing tools under supervision.
  • Garment handling and preparation - correctly handling fabrics, garments, and components in line with production instructions.
  • Stock handling and order prioritisation - ensuring correct sizes etc are used for each order and then helping priority orders get pushed through the business.
  • Quality checking and inspection - carrying out visual checks on finished garments to identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Adherence to manufacturing health & safety procedures - following safe systems of work, including manual handling and use of PPE within a factory setting.
  • Priority - Check the daily running order and priority of customer orders.
  • Loading - Loading and unloading embroidery machines.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good eye for detail for both analytical and artistic skills. Being able to inspect garments and logos to ensure they are completed to the required specification.
  • Ability to handle multiple work orders.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to complete heavy lifting and complete repetitive tasks, including the ability to stand for long periods.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for updating workflows and getting required logo from a database.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous embroidery experience or manufacturing experience would be essential.

The Employer is: HUNTER APPAREL SOLUTIONS JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
