Events Assistant


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: IRFU ULSTER BRANCH The Events Assistant is responsible for providing administration support for the preparation of match day operations and events hosted by Ulster Rugby at Affidea Stadium and other venues. Reporting to the Events Manager, the post holder will build effective working relationships with other Ulster Rugby staff, events customers, events vendors and events contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of event related paperwork.
  • Prepare match accreditation for media, match officials, tournament organisers and teams.
  • Assist with the delivery of club and school events held at Affidea Stadium and other venues.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of conferences and events.
  • Liaise with the facilities team to ensure events are set up on time.
  • Provide cover for reception as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to build effective working relationship both within your immediate team and also the wider organisation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in the use of MS Office and other software products.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment.

The Employer is: IRFU ULSTER BRANCH JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
