Job description

We are looking for a multiskilled production engineer to join our pioneering enterprise and grow with production engineer to join our pioneering enterprise and grow with us from strength to strength. This is a hands-on leadership role in a LEAN, fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for 2 new assembly production lines, ensuring quality, output, efficiency and safety targets are met. You will play a key part in driving LEAN manufacturing principles, continuous improvement and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Assembly production line set up.
• Management of workflows through the assembly lines.
• SOP creation, implementation and maintenance.
• Training and guidance for assembly line fitters.
• Quality control of all products in, during and after the assembly line production.
• Ensure minimal factory defects.
• You will work closely with existing engineers in other departments to ensure smooth delivery of SpreadPoint production.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing operations.
• Experience with team management, you will be required to run a small sub-team of assembly line fitters.
• Full UK driving licence or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of LEAN production practices.
• Strong leadership style with a hands-on approach.
