We are looking for a Cook for a small private Residential Care Home in Bangor. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through nourishing, enjoyable meals prepared with care. Our food ethos focuses on fresh, homemade traditional food and we cater to a range of dietary needs. The ideal candidate will need to be able to produce a range of homemade dishes and will need to have some basic baking skills (traybakes / scones).

Responsibilities

• Home cooking. Baking.
• Cleaning. Menu planning.
• Other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Qualifications are not essential, and we will support the right candidate with training.

Desirable Skills

• Cooking experience in a care home / cafe / restaurant.

Further Information

Location: Carmen House Residential Home. Work Time: The successful candidate will need to be flexible across the 7 days and will be expected to work 7.45am-5.45pm shifts across the week. This role is for 3 days per week, totalling 30 hrs. Alternate weekends off will be provided, where staffing allows. There will be the opportunity to pick up extra shifts, where needed within the Home and another Home locally, within the same company. Employment subject to satisfactory Access NI Enhanced check due to working with vulnerable client group.
