THE EMPLOYER IS: SOCIAL ENTERPRISE NI Social Enterprise NI is the representative body for organisations operating within the social economy sector in Northern Ireland. Due to expansion and increased demand for services, there is now the opportunity for an individual to join the team and play a part in taking the organisation and the sector forward. The IT & Data Lead is responsible for owning and continuously improving SENI’s Social Enterprise Directory and the wider data ecosystem that supports it. This role ensures smooth day-to-day platform operations, high-quality and compliant data, clear and supportive member onboarding, and insightful reporting that helps grow engagement and usage. We will support your development with training in the following areas: Internal CRM system - Keeping records accurate and engaging with members. Cyber Security Awareness - Best practices in passwords, phishing prevention and secure data handling. Time Management & Prioritisation - Tools and methods to work efficiently. GDPR & Data privacy basics - Confidence in safe, complaint data handling. Microsoft Office 365 Skills - Practical training in Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Forms, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the directory platform, including user roles, permissions, tags and categories. Oversee search filters, in-platform messaging and profile templates.
  • Implement data standards (naming conventions, contact fields, mandatory data). Prevent duplicate records and ensure outdated entries are updated or removed.
  • Work with the Membership team on renewals, checks and eligibility. Support onboarding for new SENI members, setting up logins, manage additional users and resolve access queries.
  • Partner with the Communications team to embed directory content into the main website and campaign pages.
  • Produce monthly reports showing new and renewing memberships. Provide clear insight to support decision-making and member engagement.
  • Ensure GDPR-compliant handling of member contact data, consent and retention. Maintain a secure data environment in line with organisational policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience managing digital platforms, CRM systems or databases. This may be paid work, volunteering, education or personal projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining data quality.
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and Excel).
  • Experience communicating with users, customers, or members in a supportive and professional way.
  • Understanding of GDPR or other data protection responsibilities (training can be provided).

Desirable Skills

  • Experience generating basic reports or dashboards.
  • Familiarity with website content management or integrations.
  • Prior work withing a membership-based, community, or non-profit organisation.
  • Proficient in data inputting.

The Employer is: SOCIAL ENTERPRISE NI JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
