Job description

To pack, wrap and label a variety of bakery products according to company specifications and customer requirements. Ensuring the correct portion sizes and presentation standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control: Check all products for quality, freshness, and correct labelling before dispatch. Report any damaged or sub-standard products to the supervisor immediately.
• Labelling and Date Coding: Apply accurate labels and date codes in line with company and legal requirements. Ensure allergen information is clearly displayed on packaging.
• Managing stock and materials: Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and inform the supervisor of any shortages. Minimise waste and handle all materials carefully.
• Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and tidy work area in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations and company policies. Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling and safe use of machinery.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Communicate effectively with the night shift team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to undertake manual handling tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in food production, packing, or a similar environment (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
