Palliative Care Specialist Nurse
Job description
The role is to deliver timely expert nursing assessment, care, treatment and education throughout the patient pathway. As an integral member of the Belfast Community Palliative Care Team and in liaison with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of specialist palliative and end of life care nursing care through timely triage, response to urgent need and interventions to improve symptom control and crisis prevention/de-escalation thus ensuring co-ordinated care for patients and families Please visit jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification
Responsibilities
- Be an expert resource providing clinical expertise, advice and support within the area of specialist community palliative and end-of-life care;
- Contribute to advancing the body of knowledge through education, research, service improvement and audit as well as developing practice in others.

Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse Part 1 Level 1 (Adult) on the live NMC Register
- Degree in Nursing or health related subject
