Job description

The post holder will support the Sister/Charge Nurse in leading a team that demonstrates person-centred care, through role modelling this approach to care in their own practice. In addition, the post holder will play a supportive role in leading the development of GUM Clinic, setting and seeking opportunities for learning and development. Drawing on own expertise, the post holder will disseminate expert evidence based knowledge and skills in order to continuously develop self and others. Responsibilities

• Role model and enable effective communication with patients and relatives to assist in their understanding of their illness, care and treatment.
• Adopt a questioning approach to existing practices and constantly seek ways of improving care delivery based on available evidence.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC Register.
• Provide evidence of past personal and professional development which impacts on clinical practice.
