THE EMPLOYER IS: MAVERICK CONTROLS LTD Maverick Controls LTD are seeking a Workshop Operative to join the team. This is an entry-level role offering practical experience in assembling and installing mechanical systems, including UPVC pipework, pumps, and valves. The position develops technical and employability skills through structured training and supervised on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow pipework diagrams and associated documentation.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of interpreting drawings (additional training will be provided).
• Contribute to the assembly of pipework products accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety standards.
• Understand the differences and functions of component infrastructure within a pipework drawing.
• Work with colleagues to address and resolve installation issues.
• Quality Maintenance: Uphold a quality service by implementing and maintaining company standards.
• Support the install and commission plant and equipment to company standards.
• Any other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times, including using correct PPE, safe use of hand held power tools.
• Willingness to undertake training and development courses to support safe working practices within your role.
• Motivation for continuous improvement.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook).
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop.
