Job description
Full Job Title: Day Care Nurse Band 5 (Permanent & Waiting List), Disability Day Care. Post holders will work within Learning Disability Day Services in the Southern Health & Social Care Trust, providing person centred nursing care and support to service users, their families and carers. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across daycare settings as required and as appropriate. They will participate as part of a team and using a person-centred approach will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care delivered. Responsibilities
- Comply with all policies, procedures, clinical protocols, standards and guidelines based on legislation, evidence-based nursing practice and NMC Code for professional standards of practice and behaviour.
- To participate in the development of and adhere to the requirements of Clinical and Social Care Governance in the context of his / her sphere of responsibility.
- Provide quality care to service users in partnership with family and carers.
- Report to and liaise with the senior daycare nurse and manager/assistant daycare manager who is responsible for supervision of workload.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Currently a Registered Nurse Level 1 Learning Disability or Adult Nurse - on the Live NMC Register.
- OR persons pending NMC registration as a Registered Level 1 Learning Disability or Adult Nurse.
