Stock & Display Assistant


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: BELLAMIANTA The Stock and Display Assistant will assist with receiving, organising, stocking, and displaying products to ensure shelves and display areas are well-presented, fully stocked, and visually appealing. This role helps maintain a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Organize stock in storage areas and ensure products are easy to locate, rotating stock to ensure older items are sold first. Monitor physical inventory levels and alert supervisors when items need replenishing.
  • Assist with stocktaking, reporting discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Arrange products on shelves, racks, or display areas according to company guidelines as advised by supervisor/colleagues. Keep display units, shelves, and product areas pristine & free of dust at all times.
  • Update promotional or seasonal displays as advised by supervisor/colleagues, ensuring pricing labels, tags, and signage are accurate and visible.
  • Assist customers in locating products or answering basic queries about items.
  • Provide support during high-traffic periods, like restocking shelves quickly.
  • Identify damaged or expired products & bring to the attention of supervisor/colleagues.
  • Work closely with managers/supervisors/colleagues to ensure stock levels meet demand.
  • Support other team members in store operations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Basic numeracy skills.
  • Basic reading & writing skills.
  • Ability to complete basic documentation & reports.
  • Good time keeping skills and work ethic.
  • Be courteous towards colleagues & customers.

Desirable Skills

  • Good accuracy skills.
  • Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety requirements; however, training will be provided.

Further Information

The Employer is: BELLAMIANTA JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
