General Labourer
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: THE IRISH JOINERY COMPANY LTD We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will support site operations by assisting tradespeople, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring materials and equipment are handled safely and efficiently. This role is essential to maintaining productivity and health & safety standards on site.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and organizing workspaces.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Help with the assembly and disassembly of structures, scaffolding, and other components.
- Support skilled tradespeople, including painters, plumbers, and carpenters.
- Carry out routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Perform basic repairs and upkeep as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors or project managers.
- Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
- Reading plans and work orders.
- Demolition and site clean-up.
