THE EMPLOYER IS: THE BAR HEALTH & FITNESS This is a new position designed to support the delivery and development of coaching services within the gym. The Fitness Coach/Trainee Coach will work alongside experienced coaches to assist with group sessions, member support and gym floor activities. Where applicable, the role will support a trainee coach in working towards relevant fitness qualifications, providing structured experience and skills development within a supportive fitness environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified coaches during group training sessions and classes.
• Supporting members on the gym floor, including equipment set-up, guidance, and encouragement (within scope of training and qualifications).
• Helping to prepare and set up sessions, including equipment layout and studio preparation.
• Supporting a positive, inclusive and motivating training environment for members.
• Assisting with member engagement and retention, helping new members feel welcomed and supported.
• Observing and learning safe exercise techniques, coaching methods and class delivery.
• Supporting basic health and safety procedures, including equipment checks and cleanliness of training areas.
• Where applicable, working towards or holding a fitness qualification, with training and development supported as part of the role.

The Employer is: THE BAR HEALTH & FITNESS JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
