THE EMPLOYER IS: FREELANCE FINANCIAL We’re seeking an enthusiastic and people-focused Trainee Life Insurance Adviser to join our team in Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in financial services, with full training, mentoring, and support toward industry-recognised qualifications. No previous experience is required - just the right attitude and a willingness to learn. If you do have a background in advising insurance the that’s a bonus!
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients across Northern Ireland, building trust and understanding their personal and financial needs.
- Explain life insurance and protection products clearly, ensuring clients feel confident in their choices.
- Carry out structured fact-finding to recommend suitable protection solutions.
- Work under supervision while progressing toward full regulatory competence.
- Maintain accurate records in line with FCA and UK regulatory standards.
- Follow internal compliance processes and treat-customer-fairly principles.
- Meet service, quality, and performance targets.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport.
- A genuine interest in helping people protect their families and futures.
- Confidence speaking with clients by phone and face-to-face.
- Self-motivation, resilience, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a supportive team environment.
- Full training provided - ideal for career changers or recent graduates.
Desirable Skills
- Background in a sales background preferable.
- Reasonable computer literacy skills.
- Able to demonstrate self-generated clients.
- Capable of working of own initiative.
- Good social media skills.
