Hospitality Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: THE COACH INN We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Hospitality Support Assistant. This is an entry-level, part-time position designed to provide valuable workplace experience and skills development within a supportive hospitality environment. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day operational tasks while gaining experience in customer service, teamwork, and workplace procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with basic front-of-house and/or kitchen support tasks.
- Clearing and resetting tables and maintaining clean service areas.
- Supporting stock organization and simple storage tasks.
- Assisting with light cleaning duties in line with hygiene standards.
- Providing basic customer interaction where appropriate.
- Working as part of a team under supervision.
- Full training and ongoing support will be provided. Duties will be introduced gradually to ensure confidence and skill development.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Willingness to learn and take part in training.
- Good timekeeping skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to carry out light physical duties (e.g. standing, moving items safely).
- Basic communication skills appropriate to a workplace setting.
Desirable Skills
- Interest in hospitality, catering, or customer service.
- Previous voluntary, school, or work experience (not essential).
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Approachable manner.
- Willingness to develop new skills and take on responsibility over time.

The Employer is: THE COACH INN JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
