Job description
The post holder will demonstrate person centred care, through role-modelling this approach to care in their own practice. In addition, the post holder will play a supportive role in leading the development of the care setting, seeking opportunities for learning and development. Drawing on own expertise, the post holder will disseminate expert evidence based knowledge and skills in order to continuously develop self and others. The Post holder will use specialist knowledge obtained through relevant post registration courses in caring for patients within the Neurosciences service. Responsibilities
- Role model and enable effective communication with patients and relatives to assist in their understanding of their illness, care and treatment.
- Adopt a questioning approach to existing practices and constantly seek ways of improving care delivery based on available evidence.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse Part 1, Adult of the live NMC Register.
- 3 years’ post registration experience within an acute hospital setting, 2 of which must have been in an Acute Neurosurgery Department.
