Job description

We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant for Braid Valley Hospital. This position will be on a rota basis working throughout the week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. The pay rate will be £12.51 per hour. This is a temporary position initially lasting up to three months with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with preparation and service.
• Supporting food service across the hospital cafe.
• Ensuring meals are delivered accurately in line with dietary and menu requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and service areas.
• Washing utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment as required.
• Carrying out temperature checks and basic food safety records.
• Assisting with stock control.
• Following all health, safety, and infection control procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Good working knowledge of CoSHH regulations.
• Experience working in a catering environment.
