The post holder will be expected to undertake all the duties associated with the Maternity Support Worker Band 4 Job Description. In addition, the post holder will have the skills, knowledge, and competence to provide a high quality, safe and effective service in order to care for women and babies within the obstetric perioperative area. Working under the supervision of a Registered Midwife, the post holder will practise a range of tasks and roles in the Maternity perioperative setting, delegated by the midwife providing direct care to women, their partners, and babies. Responsibilities will include undertaking surgical scrub technique and theatre duties supporting delegated aspects of operative procedures.
