Dog Handler
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: REDWOOD DOG PARK/GROOMERS Dog groomers may work with a variety of dog breeds and sizes, and some may specialize in a particular breed. The job can be physically demanding, especially with larger breeds, and may involve working in a dusty or hairy environment.
Responsibilities
- Grooming: Bathing, drying, and styling dogs to meet customer specifications. This includes brushing, combing, and detangling coats, trimming nails, and cleaning ears.
- Health checks: Checking for parasites, skin conditions, and other disorders.
- Behavior management: Managing the dog's behaviour while it is in your care.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- All training will be provided.
Desirable Skills
- Comfort and knowledge of dogs.
- The ability to work quickly.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Good general health.
