Tenancy Support Co-Ordinator
Job description
You will be based in Ballinaska Heights, Derry. You will welcome new tenants to their homes, providing and explaining tenant handbooks, sign up new tenants and carry out home visits. Develop strong partnerships with organisations that promote and support our tenants e.g. floating support services, Advice NI, local councils and advocacy support. Respond to complaints of antisocial behaviour across including taking statements, reviewing cctv footage and supporting the Housing Officer to take enforcement action. Support older tenants to reduce social isolation, arrange activities to promote a sense of community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain contact with tenants, keep up-to-date with their support needs and sign post to support services.
- Support and assist the setup and development of Tenants Associations/Residents Groups.
- Develop strong partnerships with organisations that promote and support our tenants e.g. floating support services, Advice NI, local councils and advocacy support.
- Support tenants to understand the Tenancy Agreement and Good Neighbour Agreements.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1 years’ experience in a support/housing/community field.
- Experience of signposting to support agencies.
- Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post without reliance on public transport and apply a flexible, smart approach to delivery that will demonstrate that things can be done sustainably and be able to respond to out-of-hours emergencies.
Desirable Skills
- Counselling qualification.
