Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate should have a good eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Operate welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform welding operations on various metals and alloys.
• Use appropriate safety equipment when welding.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Perform basic fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and drilling.
• Use of jigs and templates.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years experience in welding / fabrication.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload, ensuring all projects are completed in full and on time.
• Ability to work safely and follow all Health and Safety rules to ensure a safe working environment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

• Proficient in MIG, TIG and Stick welding.
• Qualification in welding.
