PCSP Co-ordinator
Job description
Deliver the Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) Action Plan. Manage an agreed range of projects including Anti-Social Behaviour developed to identify and address local needs that are aligned with PCSP Action Plan to stakeholders. Responsible for the allocation and communication of resources within assigned projects, programmes. Assist in the delivery of the Local Growth Partnership Plan.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the development and design of action plans as identified by stakeholders targeted to address PCSP requirements and provide advice and guidance on a range of issues.
- Manage project progress, performance budgets and report to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of collaborative partnerships, networking with stakeholders in the delivery of the PCSP Action Plan.
- Attend project meetings to conduct progress, briefing, awareness and consultations including events for PCSP stakeholders. 5. Review and report project status to Line Manager and stakeholders.
- Identify, prepare and complete applications for external funding sources for PCSP projects and communicate funding bid outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide a range of management support services to partner organisations in the delivery of the Community Safety Strategy and PCSP Action Plan with regards to projects and progress to conclusion.
- Identify stakeholder training requirements, deliver and/or source from training providers.
- Prepare and present a range of reports to Line Manager and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a range of management information systems including databases, research/retrieval, compile and present reports, progress updates and key performance indicators and communicate accordingly.
- Organise events, produce publicity materials, news sheets and press releases relating to the delivery of the PCSP Action Plan.
- Provide a point of contact on a range of information, advice, guidance, signposting, complaints and enquiries on matters relating to PCSP.
- Maintain an awareness and knowledge of existing and emerging PCSP matters within area of responsibility.
- As required assist with staff induction and co-ordinate the provision of external/ internal training and development programmes for groups, staff and Stakeholders within the Policing & Community Safety Partnership Section.
- Participate in and ensure compliance with all Council policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards of personal behaviour which reflect the core values of the organisation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements and legislation in accordance with Council’s Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to scale, which may be required from time to time.
- Comply with and actively promote the Council’s policies and procedures on all aspects of equality.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Ones years demonstrable experience in all of the following areas:
- Project Development
- Development and implementation of action plans
- Budget Management including financial monitoring and securing external funding
- Drafting Reports.
- Ones years demonstrable experience in all of the following areas:
- Partnership working/networking with external organisations
- Technical Competencies/Knowledge:
- Knowledge and application of community safety issues in Northern Ireland
- Other:
- Must have a full current licence and access to a form of transport to carry out the duties of the post.
