Job description

Senior Housing Benefit Assessment Officers will be responsible for the processing and assessment of Housing Benefit claims, the provision of advice relating to Housing Benefit claims, providing support to junior staff involved in HB processes and providing information and statistics as required for the HB Manager.

Responsibilities

• To assess all types of Housing Benefit applications including self-employed, students, and in particular complex cases.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Higher National Diploma or equivalent level qualification (Level 4) plus 1 year’s relevant experience.
