We're looking for caring individuals to join our team of Care Assistants at Corriewood Private Clinic. No formal experience needed, we'll provide full training. Job Purpose: To provide high quality, person centred care and support to residents in accordance with the values and policies of the care home, ensuring dignity, respect, and choice are maintained at all time.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals and hydration, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
• Promote residents’ independence and wellbeing through meaningful engagement and social activities.
• Observe, record, and report changes in residents’ condition or behaviour to senior staff promptly.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the care home.
• Work collaboratively with other staff, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
• Follow all care home policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., RQIA requirements).
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for residents’ rights at all times.
• Participate in mandatory training and ongoing personal development.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Able to demonstrate a compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to care.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and committed to providing high standards of care.
• Knowledge: Awareness of the needs of older people and/or individuals with dementia.

Desirable Skills

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience working in a residential or nursing home setting.
• Knowledge of RQIA standards and health & safety regulations.
