Job description

Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile. Ensure that the Reception desk is organised in an efficient manner and patients are looked after during their visit to the practice. Full Job Description detailed in Application Pack.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions
  • Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
  • Ensure the care and welfare of patients
  • Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery
  • Processing/cleaning of dental instruments in the LDU (Local Decontamination Unit)

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Must be competent in the use of computers
  • Must have a minimum of four GCSE’s level C to include English and Maths

Desirable Skills

  • ICT course/qualification
  • Driving Licence
  • Be competent on the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • The flexibility to work between Bangor and Newtownards
