THE EMPLOYER IS: THE ESSENCE VAULT LTD The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth over the last year and have partnered with the Jobstart Scheme to offer entry-level positions in the field of logistics and distribution. The Junior Dispatch Operative will be responsible for assisting with the efficient and accurate movement of goods within the company's supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and organising products for shipment based on customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Properly packaging items to ensure safe transport and prevent damage during transit.
• Affixing shipping labels, invoices, and other necessary documents to packages, ensuring correct information and compliance with regulations.
• Tracking and recording inventory levels, assisting in stock counting and reconciliation.
• Assisting in loading goods onto delivery vehicles and unloading incoming shipments.
• Coordinating with colleagues, supervisors, and delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods.
• Inspecting products for defects and ensuring that they meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.
• Operating equipment like hand trucks to move goods within the warehouse.
• Addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during the dispatch process and collaborating with senior operatives to find solutions.
• Acquiring knowledge of company procedures, industry regulations, and improving skills in logistics and supply chain management.
• You are required to adhere to and promote the Equal Opportunities Policy throughout the course of your employment.
