Job description

To be responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our residents and customers including mixing cocktails, serving drinks, upselling and stocking and cleaning the bar.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers at the bar area and asking what they would like to drink.
• Providing knowledgeable and creative drink recommendations.
• Fulfilling customer drink orders accurately and promptly.
• Keeping the bar stocked by replacing empty bottles and kegs of beer.
• Cleaning the bar, washing glasses and wiping down surfaces.
• Taking cash or card payments from customers.
• Keeping up to date with the latest drink trends

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience: Previous bar or service experience is preferred, although not required.
• Knowledge: good product knowledge of drink mixing, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Skills

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• Additional bar skills education, training, certificates, or previous hotel bar experience.
