Job description
To be responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our residents and customers including mixing cocktails, serving drinks, upselling and stocking and cleaning the bar.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers at the bar area and asking what they would like to drink.
- Providing knowledgeable and creative drink recommendations.
- Fulfilling customer drink orders accurately and promptly.
- Keeping the bar stocked by replacing empty bottles and kegs of beer.
- Cleaning the bar, washing glasses and wiping down surfaces.
- Taking cash or card payments from customers.
- Keeping up to date with the latest drink trends
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience: Previous bar or service experience is preferred, although not required.
- Knowledge: good product knowledge of drink mixing, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Additional bar skills education, training, certificates, or previous hotel bar experience.
