Kennedy Centre Post Office is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. This role involves working within a busy convenience retail and Post Office environment. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, operate tills accurately, maintain stock levels, and support daily store operations. Flexibility is essential, including availability for weekends
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Operate tills and handle cash accurately.
- Assist customers with purchases and enquiries.
- Replenish stock and maintain shop floor presentation.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
- Support Post Office counter operations (training provided).
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to health & safety procedures.
- Follow company security and operational policies.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Confident cash handling skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a convenience store or Post Office.
- Knowledge of lottery, PayPoint or parcel services.
