LifeSkills Coordinator (PW3)
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive LifeSkills Coordinator to join our team and support the delivery of the highly impactful Botvin LifeSkills Programme in primary and post-primary schools across the UK and Ireland with a particular focus on NI. This evidence-based programme strengthens children and young people's resilience by building key social and emotional learning skills. In this rewarding role, you will work directly with teachers to help them develop approaches that promote pupils' wellbeing, resilience, independence, and positive decision-making. You will coordinate programme delivery, form strong working relationships with school communities, and ensure sessions reflect the requirements of the Curriculums across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in the effective implementation of the Botvin LifeSkills Programme.
- Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, and senior leaders to embed the programme within school systems.
- Build positive, professional relationships with teachers, parents, and wider community partners.
- Monitor programme fidelity to ensure high-quality delivery and strong evidence of impact.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures in line with organisational and school requirements.
- Contribute to wider service delivery, including parent workshops, teacher training, and community-based sessions where needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A recognised degree level professional qualification in Teaching, Youth Work, or Social Work.
- Practical experience in designing or delivering structured programmes or workshops related to social and emotional learning.
- Proven experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion for all children and young people.
- Understanding of issues affecting children and young people, such as mental health, wellbeing, online safety, and social pressures.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business class insurance to use during working hours (alternatively those applicants with a disability that prevents them from holding a driving licence should be able to demonstrate how
