Job description
As the Registered Manager, you will play a valuable role in ensuring children and young people with a disability receive a short break. Line-manage the Team Manager, Senior Residential Project Worker and Support Staff. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
- Line-manage the Team Manager, Senior Residential Project Worker and Support Staff.
- Lead a large team of Residential Project Workers.
- Ensure the highest quality of practice to children and families.
- Work collaboratively in partnership with a range of Trust colleagues, internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the service meets the requirements of regulatory body; RQIA.
- Ensure the safe operation of the service, managing risks including health and safety, safeguarding & finance.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a professional qualification in Social Work, have completed the AYE and be registered with NISCC on Part 1 of the register.
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff in responding to safeguarding concerns quickly and appropriately.
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Evidenced ability to work constructively with partner agencies, commissioners, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience of managing budgets within a children's services setting.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business class insurance to use during working hours.
- (Alternatively those applicants with a disability that prevents them from holding a driving licence should be able to demonstrate how they can meet the mobility requirements of the post).
