Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Manager to join our team, to be responsible for the management, development and delivery of child care services and lead a team of professionals to provide nurturing care for children in a safe and stimulating environment in line with DHSSPS minimum standards for children under the age of 12.

Responsibilities

• To manage a staff team and be proactive in promoting a positive team spirit, encourage staff members to work as part of a team.
• Supervise staff members, arrange team meetings on a regular basis. - Offer support and supervision to students and volunteers placed in designated settings.
• To attend and facilitate appraisals as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Provide written reports including Social Services case reviews, evaluation and Transition Forms.
• Provide leadership and guidance to support the development of young minds
• Level 5 Leadership for Children's Care Learning and Development Or working towards Level 5 Or equivalent Or NVQ III Early Years Care and Education and willing to work towards Level 5 Or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

• 2 years experience in a formal early years setting in a paid, voluntary or training/placement capacity
