Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: ROSLEA PARISH CHURCH We are looking for a Groundsperson to keep the church grounds clean, tidy and presentable at all times. This position will include weeding, power washing, mowing and sweeping.

Responsibilities

• Keeping paths around the church, Parochial house and graveyard clean and clear from debris.
• Sweeping leaves.
• Keeping weeds cleared and trimming grass leaves.
• Tidy and maintain unkept grave plots.
• Responsible for care and maintenance of equipment provided by the Parish of Roslea.
• Provide assistance to the Parish Priest and Sacristan as required within the grounds of the church.
• Power washing.
• Mowing lawns.
• Treating moss.
• Washing church doors inside and outside along with other wooden fascias.
• Other ad hoc duties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Be able to keep written record of work completed and hours worked.

The Employer is: ROSLEA PARISH CHURCH JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
